Lucinda Davies New Head Teaching Professional
Taba Heights Golf Resort is delighted to announce that British PGA Professional Lucinda Davies will join the five-star resort as Head Teaching Professional. “This is excellent news for Taba Heights and golf in Egypt. The first female golf professional to coach in Egypt full time, Lucinda brings with her fresh and innovative ideas and will be available on a daily basis to golf with our overseas guests as well as offer regular tuition at our golf school,” commented Paul Oliver, General Manager. “Joel O’Hara, Taba Heights Golf Resort outgoing Head Professional is returning to the UK to concentrate on his playing career and we all thank him for his tremendous efforts during his time with us at the Red Sea resort.”
Twenty-two year old Davies turned professional after an outstanding amateur career that saw her undefeated representing British Universities and nominated Sports-woman of the year. She also holds numerous course records and spent a year in the USA at Western Carolina University on a fully-funded golf scholarship in 2004. Davies has recently completed a degree in Applied Golf Management at the University of Birmingham in the UK. This unique degree is run in conjunction with PGA Training and only five female golfers worldwide hold this qualification. Davies also has a background in the promotion and management of golf events, experience will prove useful in the current operation of Taba Heights Golf Resort’s local and international events.
